Bill Frederick Park At Turkey Lake Reviews & Ratings

  • We attended this park for day three or four of the family reunions. We had a covered space rented where we enjoyed a ton of games, food ,family, Fun, and Fellowship. When we first arrived, me and my friend made sure to walk the pier and check out the water. And what I found strange was the water was flat and there was a lack of jet skis or boats people swimming enjoying the water. Later on we would find that these waters are alligator-infested and are not safe to swim or enjoy water fun.As a matter of fact we were told not to go too close to the tall grass or Water's Edge because of alligators. I'm from Seattle, so that is kind of weird to hear people say you can't go into the lake 4 River water because of alligators but I understand that it's more humid and a better environment for alligators and snakes to live in then cold Seattle. It's definitely super humid in Florida, this park was super humid. There were a bunch of families having their family reunions here aside from ours based on all of the t-shirts that we seen throughout the park. All of Florida really was just very humid during the day the breeze is hot oh, you must have air conditioning. So trying to really enjoy yourself and have fun and play games and eat in this weather, is a bit difficult if you're not used to this kind of weather. Sadly, I tend to sweat a lot and so I found myself fanning myself majority of the day with a paper plate or two. This is definitely a beautiful Park. They definitely have areas away from the water for the kids to play. Sadly because of the snakes and alligators I wasn't really comfortable letting my nine-year-old daughter and my twelve-year-old son roam Free to do as they please. Definitely a beautiful Park great experience really enjoyed myself it is really beautiful but hot as hell

  • First time ever at a private park that was THIS spacious! I understand, now, why there is an entrance fee. The maintenance man kept our picnic area clean crash cans overflowing, the restrooms were well stocked. Our location had both a gazebo and an inside room. Fantastic place to host a family gathering.

  • This park is right in the middle of the Hiawassee neighborhood and it's big enough that you forget that you're in the city when you are in there. It has lots of covered pavilion, a pool, trail, camping area, picnic areas, camper area, cabins, softball field, volleyball courts, fishing pier, boats, kayaks, canoe, etc. There is a parking of around $5.00. We spent our first meeting with the Scout pack, and all the kids had a great time! I've been here many times and the place is very well maintained. My kid even attended a summer program here last June. Highly recommended!

  • This park is great! The environment is clean and well kept. Our kids have a lot fun riding their bikes around the trail. They also enjoy the little farma, where u can find some animals. We just found out that fishing at the pier is also a great activity!

  • For the price you can't go wrong with this place. We were 10 minutes from Universal Studios. The drive to the camp grounds from the entrance was really nice and super easy to navigate as it's a single direction loop. The roads in the camp grounds could use a little updating but again it was a single direction loop so you couldn't get lost. Lots of tree cover and it seemed that the internal sites all had sewer hook ups. The bathrooms were dated but clean all the time. When I visit again I want to try out the disc golf and the drone area.
