Kennedy Space Center - Review

Cape Canaveral is home to a space station par excellence. This place is managed by the famous NASA and has been engaged in research for many years. But now, parts of it can be visited through the Kennedy Space Center's Visitor Center.

It is part of an area regarded as the Space Coast, and is also the site of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Several satellites have been launched from here and you will be able to learn a lot about them as well as other aspects of space and space travel.

Children are sure to love this educative and interactive set up that was made precisely to increase the interest of the younger generation in space research. The universe’s many wonders can be experienced here through the exhibits. If you happen to go during an event like a meteor, you will be in great luck as the place has wonderful observation facilities.

Kennedy Space Center, Orlando Reviews

  • I love this place! It is fun and educational! Skip a day at the mouse and come visit! Space history and the future of space exploration! I have been here numerous times and have never been bored! So much great information, I learn something new each and every time. It’s truly amazing to see the size of capsules of our first astronauts.

  • Great place to go for the space geek. Attractions are well done. Atlantis was amazing. The bus tour is highly informational. Could easily spend all day here. Food is costly. Recommend taking a water bottle. They have computers help plan your day. Would highly recommend anyone interested in our space history or future go here.

  • Yes! This visit with my son of 3 was great! We went on a launch day, so the Center was very busy. The Center does feel a bit like an amusement park, but remembering what it used to be, it is so much better. The whole day is filled with timed events and each exhibit could easily take 1-2 hours, depending on you and your child's engagement. The Atlantis exhibit was great, as well as seeing the Mars exhibit. A few others were down, don't know why. Food is a bit high, remember amusement park, and the shopping experience could be a bit arduous on a launch day. If you are coming out of town, I would suggest a 2 or 3 night visit. 1 so you can get a launch day and the other days in case they reschedule and/or to come when it's not too full. My son is a space kid, so he was way more excited than I thought he would be. There are a lot of activities and it's fun to see all the kids just share in the moment together. I will set be coming often!

  • The exhibits and experiences are awesome. Great history and very up to the date topics regarding space travel. I am unfortunately giving it 3 stars for some very simple reasons. - Inadequately staffed security at the entry point when you have multiple schools coming in. 3 lanes completely closed, took 30 minutes just to walk through security. - signage is not correct. Existing permanent signage for the tour buses clearly lead you in one direction, just for a person to stand there with barricades to turn horses of people away to completely walk around the building. Again - this is their "permanent" signage that is not accurate. - extremely limited number of water fountains. This is Florida. While I understand the desire to sell bottled water, that's fine, a complex of this size needs more fountains installed and strategically placed. It was to the point where one of the only and few fountains we could find by the nature center had a line out the door just for the fountain. - audio levels need to be turned up on the simulator as well as on people's headsets who are speaking. Very low and difficult to hear.

  • Really enjoyed this! Wish we would have had a lot more time. Didn't make the cutoff for the bus tour and everyone said it is a must do! If you go, spend the day and see everything there is to see. We even enjoyed the movie presentations... it was like being a kid again!
