About Kennedy Space Center, Orlando

Cape Canaveral is home to a space station par excellence. This place is managed by the famous NASA and has been engaged in research for many years. But now, parts of it can be visited through the Kennedy Space Center's Visitor Center.

It is part of an area regarded as the Space Coast, and is also the site of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Several satellites have been launched from here and you will be able to learn a lot about them as well as other aspects of space and space travel.

  • It has been on my list of places to visit at least once in my life, ever since I was a child. The ability of mankind to transcend his earthly bonds is a tremendous lift to my spirit and my imagination. To go out, and among the stars is my next step. These folks, in NASA and the other agencies, working towards our future should inspire all of us. I just wish they'd do it faster; I want the future today! Here are some of the pictures I took; I hope that you enjoy viewing them with the same degree of excitement I felt while taking them:

  • Delighted we finally got to see this place. Hurricane Irma was against us but so pleased we made it. Well worth a visit. The staff were very knowledgeable and shared their information freely. The food wasn't to our taste - prefer a fresh sandwich to burgers. Brilliant to see the rockets and inside the space ship. Quite expensive but worth every penny.

  • As a former NASA engineer and lifelong space geek, I expected to have fun but I didn't expect this place to be quite this amazing and full of activities. We were here from open to close and still didn't see everything it had to offer. We took the Explore tour with Steve - the best tour guide we've ever had. He took the time to point out interesting artifacts to us after the tour had ended, and he did an excellent job of sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Atlantis exhibit and the launch 'experience'. There is a lot to see here, so if you're a space enthusiast then try to plan more than one day (you can get multi-day passes for a discount). Bring bug spray because I got a lot of tiny bug bites while in the rocket garden. There is a good amount of walking outside between buildings, but enough air conditioned places for refuge that the heat shouldn't be a problem. Definitely go to the Apollo/Saturn V center, and if you have time, then take one of the longer bus tours for an extra $19. This place is out of this world!

  • Our favourite day out by far whilst holidaying in the beautiful Florida state! The whole holiday was a wow experience but this place takes it to another level! I didn't expect it to be as amazing as it was! So educational my kids loved this even more than the big parks! We were lucky enough to see a launch while there, which was a moment we will never forget! My daughter loves Apollo after a school project, never in a million years did we expect it to be quite so amazing! The whole day was one we will never forget! Thank you from someone who was never particularly interested in space 🚀 I'm now hooked!! Emotional day seeing it all Thank you!

  • Directions are easy and the location is approachable. Ample parking space. Systematic ticking centre and visiting maneuverability. It's a great place for both kids and adults. Very informative. One will need at least a day to see the whole thing with satisfaction.
