Such a nice modern building. Full of spaces, kids areas, teens areas n homeless areas too. U can find around half of the library w homeless people eating, using the computers, sleeping or using the restrooms. Plenty of books, cds, movies n much more.
One of the greatest libraries I've been a member I've got to agree with others about the homeless using it as a resort they use the toilets like showers and they always make you feel uncomfortable staring at your belongings you can't concentrate on anything you are working on.if they're not a member and have poor hygiene the library should have the right to reserve entrance to protect the safety of everyone specially our children.all the branches are accessible staffs are the best they mail books fast and very professional need better security.
The staff are nice Don't get me wrong, but there are too little places to sit down and read, the best table booths on the first floor are in an area where only kids 18 and under can go so if you sit there the staff will judge your age and I'm like 20 something, so a decent person would let that slide, not this place I was told to move and no one else was there, so forget this place if you're a senior citizen there's not enough tables and chairs on the first floor so you'll have to go up three floors to read the paper, unless you want to sit in a plastic chair in front of a stage, TO top it all off the tables and chairs are all uncomfortable wooden chairs on the upper floors so yeah this place needs a furniture update badly and no plastic bags to carry books? IT'S FLORIDA IT RAINS EVERYDAY!
This place is full of wonder and knowledge. Great facilities for members of community. I have spoken several times at the Melrose Center as part of Script Orlando talks and it was an amazing experience every time. This library is a true gem!
It is an amazing library! You’d have to see it for yourself. There is plenty to look at. Please, check out this library if you haven’t done so, already. You won’t be disappointed.
