Pirate's Dinner Adventure, Orlando Reviews
My wife and I took her kids to the pirate Adventure Show in Orlando Florida. We have not been in over 10 years and we found a special online that allowed us to have tickets for $20 per person. Our seats were not that great especially since we had partial View however, the kids still had a great time. The acting it was not the greatest however it was still very funny. The acrobatics are simply amazing and wonderful to watch. it's really cool to see that they use every bit of the Arena for the Pirates to come in swing back and forth with their ropes. We just kind of wished that the storyline was a little bit more interesting. I would not recommend paying the ridiculous amount of money for birthday stuff or anniversary things especially since there was not much that really Went into making it special for them. For example one of the people who sat in front of us, purchased one of the birthday specials and somebody other than their server brought out a birthday cake they put a candle in it it's like a match let it and said happy birthday and walked away. Pretty certain that the cost of that was $40. In my opinion it's not really worth it. if you can watch the show without having to purchase any of the extras I think it's completely worth it. I would not recommend purchasing all of the extras that they push on you when purchasing the tickets and when you first arrive. We saw a bunch of people being offered pictures and that was never offered to us even though we took the pictures when we first arrived. I think the highlight of the night for us was watching how much fun our kids had and how much they were able to interact with the actors after the show was over. As for the dinner, there was not much on the plate. Our salad consisted of literally iceberg lettuce with some Italian dressing but nothing else on or mixed into the salad. The main course meal was a leg quarter chicken with a corn salsa and a small scoop of mashed potatoes. Even though the flavor was good there was not a lot. Not like most dinner theater shows where you leave completely stuffed. The dessert consisted of some kind of lemon cake which was about an inch wide an inch thick in an inch tall. Extremely small dessert! However, it was still flavorful. Our waitress was decent but it was nothing that was extraordinary at all. In fact more than half of us we're drinking water and we never received a picture nor refills for them at all. I don't want it to sound like it was a complete negative night, like I said, my kids had a fantastic time and my wife and I had a great time watching your kids have fun. If some of these things were fixed we easily would have given it 5 stars.
My wife set up a surprise for me and it was one of the best ever. The drinks are great. The food was a small portion, but the performance well made up for it. It's very crowd involved and I enjoyed every second of it. I will be back again to enjoy all of it. The only thing I would have different is more bathrooms and screen available for when the show is out of sight. Other than that, it's as close to perfect as can be.
Cool thing: you may get brought into the storyline several times. Our group was pretty lucky and got called for almost everything non-kid specific. The food was great, the drinks heavy and tasty and the show was entertaining. We lost our voices cheering on Orange and had a great time. If you have kids, they are pretty much the stars of the show at the middle and the end.
Child friendly and my son liked it. He got a little hungry before they were ready to bring out the food and had a little tantrum. My husband took him out of the theatre and had no problem coming back in and by then the food was here and it was delicious! The most important thing was that when my son was crying, none of the staff gave me that "annoyed look". I look for that and if I see it, then I would never call that place kid friendly. Nobody gave me that look here and I was very thankful! The story was awesome and very entertaining! We will be back and hopefully without a crying toddler but maybe a happy one!
We we to celebrate my daughter 15 birthday we had a blast everyone was nice the show was amazing and funny the food was good. And for the birthday package the scroll with her name, the pirate hat, the velvet cake and her name announced the best part we had a party of 19 and that cake even do it was a small one everyone love it. Thank you for a wonderful show. I will come again and highly recommend.
