  • The Lake Biwa Prince Hotel was an amazing experience! The dinner buffet had great food for both western and eastern tastes as did the breakfast buffet. If you're of the mind to wake up before sunrise, you can see the beautiful sunrise at the back of the hotel! Also, they really does lay out the red carpet for folks coming to Kyoto. You can drop off your luggage at the Welcome desk inside the Kyoto station add kick off your adventure without the fuss of going to the hotel (trust me, it's a long trip) and coming back to the tourist spots. Great food! Great Sleep! Great Service!

  • Otsu Prince is the nicest hotel in the area. That being said, the rooms are getting dated and there is signs of wear and tear. For a hotel this size I would expect all amenities to be included but you will have to pay for the pool access and a sitting fee in the lounge. Beds are comfortable and more western in softness then most hotels I have stayed at in Japan. View of Lake Biwa is the best there is.

  • Good internet, good ports, good view, and also CNN if you're into that oh and a big room too

  • amazing room which was very large overlooking the lake with a great view over to the mountains. we loved this stay

  • Very good hotel. Amazing lake view from 37th floor.
