About Namba Walk, Osaka

This is a 715 metres long underground shopping arcade. There are 270 shops here spread out over three major zones. In any other city it would be an extraordinarily hip and trendy shopping centre. In Osaka, a shopper's paradise, it is pretty run of the mill. Apparel, food and drink are the main attractions here. There's small water fountain. The powder room is popular for some reason. Check out the candy and toy store. See the replicas of art from Chicago's art museum in the central atrium. The best time to visit is when the weather is being harsh - too sunny or too rainy.

Namba Walk, Osaka Reviews

  • Many stores attract tourist. Surprised at their public restroom. It has large powder room young girls put makeup on I saw. Very clean streets full of people coming and going but very quiet making me feel comfy. Wanna go back to Osaka someday soon

  • A good sheltered walkway to hide from the chills of winter. Has quite the variety of shops as well!

  • Wonderful dining and shopping experience at underground of namba which access to different metro line or JR Line

  • Lots of shops & restaurants around. Will keep you busy for hours. Similar to Taiwan Taipei station underground shopping. Too bad there is not enough open area resting places, unlike Taipei.

  • This underground mall is a great respite from the cold weather outside!
