Concerts, theatres, sports, ceremonies, trade shows - this is quite rightly called a multi-purpose arena. One of the year's major events is when 10000 performers turn up together to perform a single concert - Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 - the largest performance of that particular piece. The area is indoors, so it can only seat about 15,000 at a time. Apparently the area was built in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the construction of Osaka Castle.

  • I came here for a concert and this venue is huge with lots of seating capacity. This is great if you are looking for a concert full of atmosphere. However, for the ones sitting high up at the back rows, the viewing maybe too far for them, even though there are viewing screens. As always, Japanese audiences are very polite and cooperative, I had no trouble getting in and out of the hall as everything is in good order. There are a few eating places and a convenient store next to this hall but choices are very limited. All the waiting and queuing up is outdoor, so make sure you bring an umbrella for both rain or shine. It is also nice to scroll around the park if you have time.

  • Huge venue for concerts. The facilities inside are pretty good like lots of toilets, some snack bars, and strong air con which is important for hot and stuffy concerts. Stage lighting and effects really drives the mood too. You can definitely enjoy performances here to the full extent.

  • If you traveling by car from kobe then you neef to leabe 3 hours before concert due to traffic jam

  • Got here for NEWS EPCOTIA concert and I love this place! There's a lot of nice spots to take photo with, such as the bridge and fountain near the building. Had a concert experience in this venue is so good and comfortable. It also close to Osaka Castle.

  • Nice venue. Good seating. Plenty of bathrooms. Easy to find location right near Osaka Castle.
