About Tempozan Ferris Wheel, Osaka
Before there was the London Eye, there was THE Tempozan Ferris Wheel! Situated at the mouth of the Osaka Bay, Tempozan Ferris Wheel was the biggest, tallest and most technologically advanced observation wheel in the world (it was later surpassed by the gigantic London Eye). From the top, one gets to see beautiful panoramic views of the sea, the mountains and the entire city of Osaka. During the night, the Ferris wheel is illuminated with bright colours and makes for a delightful sight to look at. This illuminated sight of the wheel along with the views it provides has made it into a popular romantic date spot with the locals. Trivia- the Tempozan Ferris Wheel is 112.5 meters in height and has 60 eight-passenger cars (maximum capacity of 480 people).

Tempozan Ferris Wheel, Osaka Reviews - Write a Review
Amazing views of the city with a see through cabin all to ourselves. Great value for 800 yen and a 15 min ride time. Would recommend the train / walk
One of my favourite places in Japan. Lovely shopping mall with loads of great places to shop and eat. Very ,very friendly staff and locals. Nothing is ever too much trouble
Bought a dual pass with the aquarium. not sure why there was a half hour queue for the glass bottom. We weren't too interested in seeing the car below us. The view was good enough.
Beautiful! But if you want to jump on the glass-floor carriage, you need to wait a long time! Aside from that, the view is breathraking... and during the night the light up is really magical
Superb view. Ferris wheel goes up very slowly. Come on sunset to watch the golden hour.
