Tempozan Ferris Wheel - Review
Before there was the London Eye, there was THE Tempozan Ferris Wheel! Situated at the mouth of the Osaka Bay, Tempozan Ferris Wheel was the biggest, tallest and most technologically advanced observation wheel in the world (it was later surpassed by the gigantic London Eye). From the top, one gets to see beautiful panoramic views of the sea, the mountains and the entire city of Osaka. During the night, the Ferris wheel is illuminated with bright colours and makes for a delightful sight to look at. This illuminated sight of the wheel along with the views it provides has made it into a popular romantic date spot with the locals. Trivia- the Tempozan Ferris Wheel is 112.5 meters in height and has 60 eight-passenger cars (maximum capacity of 480 people).

Tempozan Ferris Wheel, Osaka Reviews
The view is totally mesmerizing. This one I really recommend. You'll see two really nice bridges. The Marvel of architecture. The really view of port. This is one of the most relaxing places in Osaka. Must visit it during evening if you're interested in nice sunset or at night if you wanna see some pretty night light.
Got the combo ticket with the aquarium which was fantastic value. The queue splits into 2 at the end, 1 for a normal cabin and 1 for the glass floor cabin. There are far fewer glass floor cabins available so the wait was 30 minutes longer (5min vs 35min). The views from a normal cabin were still great and the city lights at night time look cool.
Great experience inside the giant wheels in Osaka. Awesome view inside the cubicle. Staff don't really enforce that passengers need to fill up the entire cubicle. I'm alone and I can scream and sing all by myself, at the same time enjoying the view and scenery.
Beautiful view over the harbour for a leisurely 20 minute ride. The staff is helpful and there is music along the way. Some old pictures within the booth show you what to look for in the skyline also. You can wait for the clear floor booths for longer but we went at night at 9:30 so there was really no wait. Unfortunately you can't really take pictures underneath your feet as the ground has developed a lot of scratches and has become quite unclear. Overall though great break and view!
Fantastic. Great fun with the kids, awesome views of the city and pretty cheap. There is heaps to do in the area so going around the ferris wheel is a great way to end the day. We went during the week and there was no lines for the non-transparent seats but of you want to go in the glass ones there was probably about a 20 minute wait.
