Au Sable River Queen Reviews & Ratings

  • First off, what a wonderful staff. I was recently with a group of 12, and had a miscommunication about our reservation. They handled it with professionalism, and made it even more special of an outing for us. Second the entertainment was spot on for the day. Great addition to the already beautiful boat ride. Thanks for a great day out on the water, we will be back!

  • The AuSable River Queen was a very nice 2 hour ride on the river. The band that played on the boat was fantastic! If you have never been on a paddle wheel boat, I would recommend you do it. Will definitely be going back for the fall color tour on October!

  • It's a fun idea and a good experience, it just goes on a bit too long. The kids liked it for about 30 minutes of the hour and half trip. The boat is slow, so you really have to enjoy the lake views, local history and live music to stay interested for that long.

  • Seems to be a lot of confusion when it comes to making reservations. We never even made it on the boat, as it was cancelled. We drove 3 1/2 hours and found out they cancelled the cruise when we called them to find out when we could get on the boat! Come to find out they never wrote down our reservation we had made the week prior. We were offered 4 free tickets for the inconvenience.

  • Same story over and over. Won't take a reservation... drive 75 miles to find a note in door not going today at noon maybe at 3. I can understand a breakdown but they wont sail without a full load. Got home to find a message at 11:00 that noon sailing was off. we were on the road for 1 hour by then. Read the other postings. I will never ride their boat they lie about breakdowns. Bad business practices.
