Follow the Colorado River from Lee's Ferry to its confluence with Little Colorado River, where the Grand Canyon begins. This is Marble Canyon. Lee's Ferry is famous for being the only spot for hundreds of miles that a boat can be put to Colorado River from both sides. This made it an important historical crossing point, especially in the 18th century. Today, it's where whitewater trips for the Grand Canyon are launched from. The canyon is also famous for the Navajo Bridge, a 1929 structure built to replace the ferry as main method of crossing. At that time, it was the highest steel arch bridge in the world. The bridge you see today though, was built in 1995.
