Treasure Falls, Pagosa Springs Reviews
It's a must see! Two trails to choose from. One is primitive and more difficult, although my 6 year old made it all the way up this past summer. The regular trail is recommended for most unless you're already very active. Great views and easy access right off the highway!
The Falls are beautiful and the hike is incredible. You just can't help but be happy when you are in such a beautiful place. The hike is very short, less than half a mile but it is very steep. We usually have to take it pretty slow and it still doesn't take very long to get to the falls. There's a beautiful Bridge at the base of the waterfall, and there is even a beautiful view looking out over the valley. Treasure Falls truly is a beautiful treasure.
Best time to go is early winter. There will be a 60,000 lb ice wall that looks amazing. The rose hips nearby will also be sweet and taste like golden raisins
A small waterfall was my first thought - and then I looked up higher around a bend, and there it was! Pretty falls with a 15 minute steep-in-places hike/walk up to an observation deck along a well-marked trail. Plenty of interesting local flora and fauna en route. The bridge on top has a welcome mist of cool water from the falls.
Treasure Falls is a beautiful place to visit when in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. It is a beautiful attraction that you can hike to in less than 15 minutes. It has maybe two short trails that you can take. This year it was dry, so I will post an image for you to see. We had never witnessed it this way.
