South India’s art and cultural heritage is hard to miss, and places like the Cholamandal Artists' Village know just how to maintain and preserve it well. This Chennai attraction is the largest artists' commune in India, after its inception in the year 1966. The art village holds art forms that brought about the “modern art” revolution back in those days. This place accommodates works of artists who have shown at various international platforms as well. Cholamandal Artists' Village, Chennai Reviews

  • Its good place. But that's for the high-level artist not for common people.. I was unable to understand some paintings. If you can see a child's scribbling as good art, then you must give a visit. Other's don't waste your time and money..

  • Expected so much but too disappointed. There are very few paintings which attracted us. Advantage of this art gallery is we can display our own paintings and even can sell. There is a separate section especially to sell and display our pieces.

  • It's a place where artists and craftspeople live and it has an art gallery in between which is ok ok.It has a few good art works that is it,not much. Also sometimes exhibitions are conducted in a hall near to the gallery which showcases art works of different artists at different times which are on sale. This place is only for those who really want to see some art and understand art well. For other's it would be not that worth the effort since it requires travel to this village which is far from eatery joints and all.

  • Simply brilliant! Soak in the art and interact with the artists themselves. Delve into the various styles and genre of works. Stroll around the sculpture park. You will never want to go away!

  • Only for people who are very much interested in arts. As a common man i could not understand the value and meaning of the pictures showcased in the gallery.
