South India’s art and cultural heritage is hard to miss, and places like the Cholamandal Artists' Village know just how to maintain and preserve it well. This Chennai attraction is the largest artists' commune in India, after its inception in the year 1966. The art village holds art forms that brought about the “modern art” revolution back in those days. This place accommodates works of artists who have shown at various international platforms as well. • Good experience. Would help if the primary gallery was air-conditioned as well lot at least better ventilated. The art work was good and the place felt peaceful, despite the crowd.

  • It's a great place to visit for vivid art enthusiast. There are indeed a hand full collection of art work and some are even for sale. Very calm and quite place Isn't crowded at all. Definitely not for people who are not into art or who are not patient enough to understand such stuff.

  • A gem in the Mahabalipuram to Chennai road. Nice collection of local artists. Some good works. Needs to be supported by us all. Don't miss the banyan tree outside.

  • They have done extremely well if you have time go n watch it once you will get amazing photos in your mobile

  • The gallery and sculpure park offer excellent opportunities to experience some contemporary art from art village residents and elsewhere. The sculpure park is interesting for its inclusion of international gifts.
