All of this makes it a hiker’s paradise. There are many well-marked trails that let you explore the woods. Horseback riding and mountain biking can also be done here. Deer and rabbits are often sighted along the tracks. Numerous picnic areas are scattered across the area along with some sitting benches. Locals mostly come here for fishing and boating. Palos Park Woods (cook County Forest Preserve) Reviews & Ratings
I love this Forest Preserve. This Forest Preserve only has one Pavilion which was great if you want to have a party that's a little bit more private. It's got plenty of benches plenty of garbage cans and even a port-o-potty and it's in a well shaded area. The permit for this location was $90 and the police did ask us for it when we first arrived.
The kids love to go for a walk in the woods. They also have great running trails and some trails allow horses
Plenty of mapped paths and beautiful dirt trails to walk. Nice groves, many with pavilions to hang out at with friends.
Absolutely gorgeous place for hiking, bike riding, taking pictures, water falls... Beautiful place.. very quiet
We were Explors, testing the water. Look what we found, they live in the Chicago River.
