Calangute Beach - Review

Calangute is one of the many popular beaches in Goa. It is rumoured it was discovered as a hangout spot by people following the hippe tradiditon. In fact, the famous British Band, the Beatles had visited this little village of Calangute during that period.

Calangute lives up to its poplularity by offering a nice variety of water sports as well. They do have facilities for para-saiking and water skiing as well as some other boating activities for the less adventurous. Full of activity, this beach always has something going on. There are vendors selling fruit and trinkets, so you can get a good bargain while you are here. The St.Alex Church is not far from this area. There are also many shacks ans shops where you can find things to eat as well as souvenirs to take home.there also many restaurants and bars on the way for the thirsty travelers.

  • A perfect place to stay near the Calangute and Baga beach in Goa.

  • Beautiful beach. A very few beaches in India has the combination of beauty and fun. This beach is one of them. The water is clean. Many fun ride options are available here. Make sure you purchase those tickets from Authorized Agents.

  • Beware of parking fee fraud. Beach is nice. Everything that you need from a good beach. But the parking guys charge cars Rs 100 which is the parking fee for bus. They will give the printed bill of 100. But inside the parking the parking fees are displayed. I've added it in photos.
