About Chapel Of Our Lady Of The Mount, Panaji
Afonso de Albuquerque himself built this church in 1519. Like other churches in Goa, it is made from laterite plastered with lime mortar, and it is white. What you're really here to see is the view. The church on top of a secluded hill that looks over sweeping views of Old Goa, Divar, Chorao islands and the Mandovi River. Inside, the church has three altars. They are dedicated to Our Lady of the Mount, St. Anthony of Lisboa and St. Anthony, the Hermit. You have to climb up some stairs to get to the churchyard. In November, the Monte Music Festival is celebreated here.

Chapel Of Our Lady Of The Mount, Panaji Reviews
This is the only church in Goa which is on the hill. This Church is at calm place and you can spend some quality time. Architecture of the church is very beautiful and the church is maintained very well. You can also enjoy the river and jungle view from the church hill. As per locals this Church has been featured in many movies. It is recommended to visit the church before evening as this is at secluded place.
Excellent place for a nice trek of 1.4 km from the Church of St. Cajetan. The village roads are uncrowded, though Lonely Planet advises not to walk alone. The view from the top of Mandovi river and Divar Island is worth the trouble of walking to the top. Sunsets will be awesome. Mass is held only once in a month
Totally beautiful and historic place ....but not maintained.
This is one church with a view! Because of which it's been used in the movie Golmaal 3. The doors of this church opens only once a year, on 25th December.
Great place to spend some quiet and peaceful time. The place itself is quiet and offers some great view of the other churches and chapels in Panji.
