How to Reach Panaji

By Air: The nearest airport to Panjim is the Dabolim Airport. You can get to the city via train, bus or hire a taxi/ auto from there.

By Train: Indian Railways connect Panjim with Mumbai, Delhi and other big cities in India. Most visitors arrive through Margao station in South Goa. The trains do tend to be full so it is better to book in advance.

By Bus: Panjim can also be approached by road by bus or car from several Indian states. This may be expensive but is extremely convenient.

By Ferries: Quite a few choices for getting around Panaji exist. Ferries can be used by passengers to visit the state’s many rivers.

By Road: Hiring a car is a decent option but if you are able to drive it the best way around is on a hired motorbike. The tiny lanes become easy to maneuver around this way. You could also explore the city by bus.

By Train: You could conveniently get around the city by train.

Any Goa tourism guide will tell you that there are not too many signposts in some places here, therefore, the good old fashioned method of asking around comes in handy. Alternatively, you can just hire a Goa travel guide to make it convenient.
