Reis Magos Fort - Review
Though not as famous as Fort Aguada, this smaller fort actually predates the larger one by about half a century. Built in 1551, it was enlarged over the centuries, and proved to be decisive against the Maratha armies in the 18th century. Visitors ought to check out the commanding view it has of the land and the sea, and the 33 guns that defend its walls. Later used as a prison, the fort eventually was abandoned, fell into decay, until it was renovated in the late 20th century. Today it is used as an event space that can be rented out to private parties. It's a popular place to get married, shoot films, or throw a fashion show.
Near the fort, close to a pretty spring of water, is the elegant church of Reis Magos.

Reis Magos Fort, Panaji Reviews
Unbelievable panoramic views of the bay! Never knew that the fort held such an important place in the state's history. You do have to pay an entry fee of Rs. 100/- to get in but if you're a student it's only Rs. 50/-.It's worth every penny. It's restored and well looked after. A must visit place for everyone. Only of the well maintained forts in Goa. It's spread over a vast expanse of a hill. Has a gorgeous sea to look at from wherever to gate on the fort. It is a decent fort renovated recently so it looks more like a new place than a resort. The good part is there will not be much crowd so you can chill for a while. The view of Arabian Sea from the fort is beautiful. you could surely spend hours here enjoying the cool sea breeze and the quiet blissful ambience . most lovable visit..!
Was a good experience. The fort itself looks quite good. The view from top also is nice. The museum inside is quite interesting, buy you need to spend time to really view through all. The fort has been well maintained by Indian standards. They provide a free ride from reception to the fort entrance, for senior citizens. That is well appreciated. Staff also were quite friendly.

Beautiful Fort showcasing the history of Goa. Unbelievable panoramic views of the bay! Never knew that the fort held such an important place in the state's history. This is one of the hidden gems in Goa. There is a tranquility about this fort that's special. It's one of the destinations in Goa which doesn't have a lot of locals- possibly due to the entry free (50 rupees). It's very well maintained. There is a nice little hike to the top. The fort itself is pretty tiny but the views to the ocean are pretty awesome. You could spend hours here enjoying the cool sea breeze and the quiet blissful ambience.
It's a beautiful little fort that's been restored really well and is kept exceptionally clean. We loved the morning we spent here. Be prepared for a short but steep climb to reach the fort and go prepared for the heat if you go later in the day. Carry your own water. Enjoy the views.
