Salaulim Dam is formed by the combination of earth and masonry and its water is available for domestic as well as industrial use. This dam has a beautiful botanical garden offering panoramic views of the surroundings. You have to ascend to a couple of stairs for reaching at the top of the dam. Nature lovers can take a walk along the botanical garden that have an abundance of herbal plants and it is set at the backdrop of lake hills. There is a small canteen that sells juices, cold drink and ice cream which will give some relief to you after long walks. The best time to visit the Salaulim Dam is from July to November. I am not sure if the flow will be as impressive in the month of February. But, you can always have a great time in the botanical gardens.
