Panama City Tourism

Panama City is a city and the county seat of Bay County, Florida, United States. Located along U.S. Route 98, it is the largest city between Tallahassee and Pensacola. It is the more populated of two principal cities of the Panama City-Lynn Haven, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 36,484. When Panama City was incorporated in 1909, its original city limits were 15th Street (Hwy 98) on the north, Balboa Avenue on the west and Bay Avenue on the east.

Many people mistake Panama City with the nearby Panama City beach. The latter is a beach haven in Florida state, while the former is a business and education hub. Panama City is hardly grim and serious, and if you feel so, head to the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium. Fond of speed? Hit the tracks at the Race City PCB for a bit of go-karting and roller coasters. Outdoorsy options also include the St. Andrews State Park or the Pine Log State Forest. Next time you are in Panama City Beach, travel to the Panama City to dry off and enjoy some quality time.
