The ruins of the fourteenth-century mosque are located near the India - Bangladesh border. It was the largest Mosque in the whole subcontinent in Medieval times. It is said that the mosque was built on the ruins of Hindu and Buddhist temple. Indian sculptures can still be seen on the outer walls. Though it was once very popular, it was neglected in the British Rule. Earthquakes in the nineteenth century also damaged the structure. It was never restored. You can explore the ruins of this ancient mosque as there are information boards around the place.

Nice place for an outing with kids and elders. The vast field will give children chance to be free and the architecture will give the elders chance to spend time with History. :-)
A neat and quiet place to spend some good time with family and friends. But make sure you visit in the afternoon coz it closes at 5 PM.
