The Panhala fort is a popular historic site in Kolhapur. The remains of the fort are well-preserved and it has also been declared as the protected monument by the government. This eleventh-century fort is mostly in ruins and the restoration work is going on in surrounding parts. But, some of the structure is still standing tall and it will take you back in time. Visit this place in Monsoons and the entire fort will be covered in clouds and fog. The view is spectacular. Take a guided tour and learn all about this oldest and strongest fort.

panhala fort is always a cool place to visit. You can enjoy there along with your family and children.
One my favourite historical places.. it's just best place to hang on with friends as well as family.! It provides us the knowledge about the ancient kingdom of Maratha Empire!!
A piece of history. Brilliant view of the surroundings from here. I suggest you to hire a guide to show you around. The structures stand tall as they have a history to tell. Find someone around who knows all of it and you'll be in awe of the whole fort. And the way it is built.
A beautiful fort of Panhala...You would love visiting this area.. Specially in the early evening... I wouldn't suggest late evening visit....
