Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden, Papaikou Reviews

  • Absolutely gorgeous place. Even Ford someone in my condition, the wall is easy and there are so many colorful - almost bucolic - displays of flowers and gingers that you'll be distracted the whole time. My favorite was the chocolate ball ginger, but there are so many more to see. There are a few areas you can stop to rest along the path, but the trees keep it fairly cool the entire route. If you are on the big island, you have to take the time to go here.

  • The detailed manicure work of this garden is done in such a way to appear natural and yet perfectly manicured. People complain about the entrance fee but when you see the overwhelming quantities of Polynesian specimens this garden features, you realize it has to take a dedicated army of horticulturalists to maintain this gem of Hawaii island. Please use “OFF” some other mosquito repellent to keep the little vampires at bay and drink Plenty of water. Plan to spend at least 2-3 hours and fill your camera with lots of photos!

  • Amazing garden, so much well cultivated and mature plant life! And orchids, orchids, and more orchids. From Crab Cove to the gardens Macaws the critters in the area are all abundant and healthy. I could have spent all day here. Nice staff and gift shop as well.

  • Beautiful gardens! The initial walk is pretty steep but they have little golf carts they will shuttle you with if they are working. Tons of plants I've never seen. $20/pp entrance felt a little steep but I am glad I went

  • It's very beautiful to see. Plants and flowers from all over the world. Beautiful waterfall you can also a blown horn from the ocean . They will also take someone who has a hard time walking in golf cart for an extra $10. It's amazing
