Looking Glass Garden is an incredible place that features whimsical sculptures and sure to take you to a fairy tale world. This garden gives excellent panoramic views as it is nestled in the Papamoa hills. Walking along the side of the hills can give you a memorable experience. Kids will be amused by looking at the famous story characters like three bears, peter pan, Alice in wonderland and many more. The steep area with a quirky stairway which leads you to top of the hill is quite thrilling. One of the best time to visit Looking Glass Garden is during the spring season for you will find blooming daffodils covering the whole area.

Looking Glass Garden Reviews & Ratings
Just been for a walk through the gardens. I thought it was great. The daffodils and magnolias are flowering. Took lots of photos and had a pleasant walk.
Lovely garden! Its real like stay in another world, we the "oldies" can recreate our past tales with for example "three pigs tales" You must have a comfortable shoes to walk, 2 toilet are out of border but you can use one between the owner house. The prices are 5 for adult person and 2.5 for child's. There is free parking for 6 cars in the entrance, is not available for wheel chair.
Awesome location and concept. A real adventure for children. However, there has been little to no upkeep of the features, therefore they are tired and shabby. This is a real shame as our last visit 3 years ago would have definitely rated 5 stars, rather than the 2 of today.
A fun family adventure. You can take a 3 wheeler (jogger) pram around the main circuit if you're fit and can push uphill.
A very large garden that was once well maintained and looked after, but appears to be that nature has taken over and looked after itself. It's a great place for the kids or anyone really who likes nature reserves full of plants, mini houses and large sculptures etc. There are maps available at the start of the track for reference, but we simply took a picture on our phone to use. Entry is $5 adults & $2.50 kids (at the time of this review) payment can be made either by cash or bank deposit, online banking (acc info @entrance) please make sure to pay for your visit as it's an honesty system. The real highlight for us was the "stairway to heaven" path of leading up the mountain as seen in the pic. It over looks the area to give a 360 degree panoramic view from a top. Parking is limited as there is only really space for about less than 7 cars off a gravel road. Lastly, go early @10am opening to enjoy the park for yourselves or before 4pm closing.
