Lago De Camecuaro National Park Reviews & Ratings

  • Beautiful place, I highly recommend visiting. Go early to get a good place to sit at. There are picnic tables and restaurants. We have been here a couple times so we usually bring our own food. It costs 20 pesos for each person to get in. There are small boats to rent either to row on your own or with a guide.

  • Over the years more and more tourists visit from all over the world. It’s nice to see this place full of people, enjoying what Mother Nature has created. I hope everyone visiting respects and keeps it clean to continue to enjoy this magical place. Very inexpensive for a whole day of fun. Entrance is under $2 dollars per person. You can rent a boat for 30-40 minutes that paddle you out to enjoy the beautiful Lago. Our last visit we had a very informative with stories and tales about the Lago. This time our boat guide didn’t talk or share anything. The ride was nice we enjoyed it. It’s $150-$200 pesos equals = $8-10 dollars for 5-7 people on each boat. Restaurant and bar sections are now available and serve food and drinks. No need to carry any food. WATER SHOES are a MUST if you will be swimming in the Lago? The roots can hurt and make it difficult and slippery. Swimming, eating, just resting. A whole day to enjoy.

  • My wife and I spent a night here camping in the park where I went swimming in the water. It was amazing. The water is so clear you can see the bottom. It is a treasure of Michoacán. there are many vendors who sell inside the park, and restaurants. They also have showers and bathrooms for the campers. You must visit this place.

  • Free entry on weekdays, great food, and artisan products. You will pay 5 pesos to use the restroom (about .25 cents US). Recommended

  • Natural lake. Beautiful water. Go in the morning before 8 like around 6 when the water is warm (I know sounds crazy) but the water gets cold after that time.
