Very good location, lovely eco-building the only shame is because all services are centrally controlled you can't change the temperature of the showers or sinks. I also found it odd that we had a sink and a shower in the room but no toilet. The rooms were very clean, easily accessible plus and charging points. Needs were comfortable and nice and wide. Good links to transport and sights. Just up the road and to the left is the Paris Star Food a kebab and pizza shop. Excellent food, cheap price and large portions.
Bad area, smelly restrooms, difficult staff, and hardly any options for the free breakfast
The hostel itself was nice but the neighbourhood it was located in was not. We walked from the city centre to this hostel and on the way my friends were catcalled every 5 steps, my gay friend was approached for reasons of prostitution, someone was beaten up by a gang right in front of the hostel and in the night we heard a gunshot while sleeping with the window open. Would never return, not because of the hostel but because of the problematic area and scary atmosphere.
The hygine was terrible, there was no wc in the room and there was no drinkable water so you must buy bottles of water at the bar or in a local supermarket, the rooms smelled like old urine becouse some people did there thing in the shower. The staff was nice. (side note) you must be quiet at 10pm but at 2:30 pm i was woken up by some drunken studends who "tried to be quiet" and did this for at least an hour! So if you stay here for over a night its ok. but if you decide to stay for a week you wont make it! 4,5/10
Good location in regards to the train station, bad pillows, weird smell coming in from vents in room, wifi only available in common room
