  • Good hostel with an excellent location! Rooms were decent and spacious, facilities are basic - push shower, no lockers, and scare number of power outlets in the room. Had to charge my devices in the common area (which is lovely!). Breakfast was included and they offered an open room where you could leave luggage. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Overall, the location, value and friendly staff make this a great choice for a stay in Paris.

  • I thought this was a most wonderful place to stay. Central location made life extremely easy, staff were extremely welcoming and rooms very comfortable (if anything over-heated I thought). There may be people who find that late night arrivals are disruptive when sharing a dorm but from the point of view of the customer who may be dependent on transport which delivers them to city centre at very unsociable hours, the Louvre Hostel's hospitality and 24 hour service is a boon.

  • Horrible experience - Our connecting flight was delayed and when we arrived to check in they told us they gave our room away... It was 3:00 in the afternoon... I've never heard of hostels giving room's away mid afternoon. I had given this hostel's address to the airport because our luggage did not make our connecting flight and the man at the hostel reassured me it was no big deal. He said I would be able to pick up my luggage the next day. When the airport went to delivery our bags the man told them he had no one staying at his hostel by our name and sent our luggage away. It took me two days to finally get my bags back. I get it's a no frills hostel but seriously this was horrible costumer service. Don't stay here.

  • This place is very honest about how sparse it is so take it at its word! This is bare bones. On a stunning location, you get a bed, linens, access to a toilet and access shower. Breakfast was fine and free. The location is unbeatable ! The internet is available for an extra fee and only in the lobby.

  • This isn't so much a review as a public warning. Avoid this place and pray you don't get room 54 if you're unlucky enough to stay here. The place is a cesspool of filth, and the smell of damp in the room almost made me throw up after coming from a day in the fresh city air. I wouldn't be surprised to learn I have some form of lung disease in the coming weeks, after spending 2 nights sleeping here. There was no soap with the sinks in the room and only a single plug socket for the entire room. The showers didn't drain properly so you end up in a petri dish of your own dirty water, combined with the existing grime in the showers. The toilet lacked a seat so you're forced to hover, which was probably more sanitary than if there was a seat given the state of the rest of this place. The beds are something out of a nightmare, they will literally eat you alive. The sheets are covered in blood and other stains from previous users because they clearly aren't washed correctly. When I actually lay in the bed I could feel my skin crawling with bed bugs, and spotted a fair few of the bugs with my own eyes. It's come as no surprise that I'm now covered in hundreds of little spots from where I've been bitten... This place should absolutely be avoided, and ideally shut down for being a health hazard. Avoid.
