Holiday Inn Paris - Montparnasse Pasteur, Paris Reviews

  • Actually quite a good location as it happened. The bar itself wasn't great but the staff were very helpful and great company. We were introduced to a drink that I wasn't aware of before visiting.... Saint Germain elderflower liqueur. Delicious. Yes. Perhaps the rooms could have been cleaner but overall I think it provides very good value for a major city location. I'm looking forward to returning later in the year.

  • Location was nice. Staff were not helpful and intrusive. AC was broken during our 2 day trip, thank goodness we only had to endure 1 night. There were feeble attempts to “fix” the AC, but we all knew that was just to try and satisfy our complaints. No real effort was made to repair the AC, just a floor fan for consolation. Definitely would not stay here again or recommend this hotel.

  • This place is in need of an update. It has new owners who are scheduled to start renovations in June. However, the staff was great about trying to help with anything they could, and they all worked together to make us as comfortable as possible. Great location, easy access to the Metro, and totally walkable to many areas of Paris.

  • Helpful staff but definitely not a 4 star hotel or even 3. Dated rooms and building. Needs a renovation

  • Very disappointed in this hotel. My family and I checked in for a single night for a twin bed room. We arrived at the hotel late in the afternoon and checked in. Then, when we went up to the room we saw that the bed was a single king sized bed. I felt the middle of the bed and realised that it actually was two twin beds combined into one bed. Our family went back down to the reception to fix the problem, and there was very little effort to help us at all. They had asked us to wait at the lobby for 30-40 minutes while they fixed the bed to make it back into a twin bed. We decided to just go out for some dinner while they fixed the room. When we came back, and went up to our room, the beds were fixed and everything was fine. Until my Father realised there was no remote control for the A/C. After going out and eating in the hot weather we were really looking forward to cooling down in the room, but it seemed that we were going to have to chat with the staff once again. My Father and I went down to the reception and informed them of this problem, and the staff didn't seem surprised at all. All they offered us was a fan. We declined the fan and told them specifically that we wanted the A/C turned on. We told them that we needed a remote control and that's it. Surprisingly, they told us that they didn't have any more remote controls and the rooms that did have remote controls were the rooms in the top 3 floors and they were all occupied. The staff were so unwilling to help us until my Father came up with a solution for one of the staff to go to another guests room, borrow the remote, come to our room, turn on the A/C, and bring the remote back. That particular staff was very rude and even snapped back at us when we were upset at our room's condition, asking us if we wanted to do something or continue standing here being upset and mad. I felt very uncomfortable staying in this hotel, to be quite honest. So once we got the A/C turned on everything was fine. Then about two hours later when we were all about to go to sleep the A/C turned off by itself. We called the reception and asked them to bring back the remote so we could turn it back on, but they never came up to our room. We eventually gave up and ended up sleeping with the floor fan on and the A/C off. Overall this hotel is just a mess. Staff were very unhelpful, quality was bad, pictures on the web totally misrepresented the hotel. And believe it or not there was only one elevator for staff and guests. Definitely will not come back here again and I definitely don't recommend this hotel.
