  • The hotel was booked for 3 adults. There was one two person bed and a dirty futon. The futon looked like it had never been cleaned. When we asked for new sheets and more pillows at reception, the man was very rude and said they did not have anymore. Very dated, the stairs to get to our room had no lights and were very steep. Breakfast was included with our stay, it was decent. The location is near a transit center so that is a plus. Overall I was unimpressed but it wasn't a nightmare.

  • The hotel is in a nice place 2 min walk to Montparnasse ! All kinds of little shops on the street & shopping center near by! Hotel is however in MAJOR need of a renovation!! The rooms are tiny as if they made 2 rooms out of one! The pictures make the lobby look huge and really nice when in fact it is tiny and in need of some work !!! The elevator is ancient!!! Shakes way too much and makes a lot of noise!! The rooms were not clean either ! The TV was covered in smear marks from "cleaning" and it looked like it was ready too fall off the wall! The bathroom door did not shut all the way ! And the mirror was covered in smear marks aswell! The shower is designed poorly: the whole bathroom gets a washing when you take a shower !! Oh and you can hear the person across from you because the rooms are about 3 feet away from each other !! Metro passes every few minutes so if you're a light sleeper, know you won't get much shut eye because the whole building shakes!! Hotel does not provide any complimentary water or anything! On the bright side, staff is great, great location! But definitely does not deserve a 3 star rating!

  • COCKROACH IN OUR ROOM!!! DON'T STAY AT HOTEL RENOIR This is this the most disgusting and worst hotel my girlfriend and I have stayed at in Paris. If it was possible I would give "Hotel Renoir" on 39 rue du Montparnasse 0 STARS, as this hotel was beyond terrible. Firstly, my frustrations are due to we found a cockroach in our room on 4th floor, which is the most disgusting thing I could ever imagine to find in a hotel room. Of course, there should not be a cockroach in any hotel room, but there should definitely not be one at a 3*** hotel. The hotel staff offered us to move to another room, but how could they guarantee us that there were not cockroaches in other rooms?! Thus, we decided to stay in our room and asked them if they could get us any refunds in some way. They told us to talk to the hotel manager about this, which we did. Unfortunately, we found out he (hotel manager) was the most arrogant and conflict-averse man, which did not see a cockroach in our room being a problem at all. So, he just offered us not to pay the "municipality tax", which is approx. €8. How on earth can a discount on €8 be equal to having a cockroach in your room at a 3*** hotel in Paris? Secondly, there were bedbugs in our bed, so we ended up having bites all over our bodies. Do not think this needs further elaboration - if you have tried bedbugs you know how distinguishing and itchy they are. Finally, the hotel room was not cleaned sufficiently. There were still trash on the bedside tables and water bottles on the bigger table below the TV. Besides this, the cleaning staff just went in to our room - while we were there - without knocking on the door first. I would never recommend this hotel to anybody. Don not go there just because it seems cheap and nice on the pictures, you will regret it as we did. To show that I am not just an angry man, I would really recommend "Résidence du Pré" on 15 Rue Pierre Sémard. It is in another and better area, and it is hotel super cheap, cozy and the best thing is the hotel staff. Again, if it was possible I would give "Hotel Renoir" on 39 rue du Montparnasse 0 stars, as this hotel was just beyond terrible.
