The Louvre Pyramid is a vast glass and metal pyramid, encompassed by three smaller pyramids, in the principle patio Cour Napoléon of the Louvre Palace Palais du Louvre in Paris. The extensive pyramid serves as the fundamental passageway to the Louvre Museum. Finished in 1989, it has turned into a point of interest of the city of Paris. The pyramid structure was built by Nicolet Chartrand Knoll Ltd. of Montreal (Pyramid structure / Design Consultant) and Rice Francis Ritchie (otherwise called RFR) of Paris (Pyramid Structure / Construction Phase).

The pyramid and the underground entryway underneath it were made on account of an arrangement of issues with the Louvre's unique principle door, which could no more handle the tremendous number of guests on an ordinary premise. Guests entering through the pyramid move into the extensive hall then re-rise into the principle Louvre structures. Numerous different storehouses have doubled this idea, generally eminently the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.

  • The Dolphin Centre, emphasizing a comparative pyramid, was opened in April 1982, by Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester.
  • The development deal with the pyramid base and underground entryway was completed by the Vinci development organization.

  • Nice tourists place. There is museum also. Nice place to spend some time here. Here you can click nice clicks. Here you can find street sellers but be careful here street selling is illegal. Here you can enjoy the beautiful art of artists. You can also go inside this pyramid. If you want to enjoy this place please don't carry too much luggage with you because there are security checks in many place and it's very difficult to do this with luggage.

  • Iconic and beautiful! The museum itself is amazing but very confusing to navigate... I got very lucky to have some amazing light the say I visited

  • The square containing the pyramid was beautiful. Unfortunately, when we went, it was cold and sprinkling, so we didn't stay outside long to take pictures. We did, however, get in to the museum with very little wait times! Do your research before attempting to get in through the pyramid, the lines can be incredibly long in the summer. Worth taking pictures of, but not waiting hours outside when there are other entrances available!

  • Excellent ambience. World class collection off paintings, sculptures, crafts. Quality time spent there. Need few days to explore and feel the heritage. Preferable to visit in less crowded days. Online ticket is very handy option.

  • A place you should come if you come to Paris. Come here earlier if you want to go in to the museum. They do have a souvenir store downstairs. Recommend people to spend at least 6 hours here for the famous draw.
