Inspired by the Boboli Gardens, Luxembourg gardens are a green haven in middle of mostly-grey Paris. Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and impressive fountains, the gardens are adorned by tree lined promenades and healthy, lush green lawns. A welcome change from the hustle-bustle of a thriving metropolis, there are many activities to keep you busy at Luxembourg gardens. Some of the best gardeners in Paris have transformed the gardens into a living artwork. The Luxembourg Gardens are dotted with statues of French royalty and mythical gods along with some enchanting spaces like the mini Luxembourg gardens. The Palace of Luxembourg overlooks this green paradise proudly as hundreds of Parisians flock the gardens for a slice of heaven.

This is a must see when visiting Paris. Beautiful gardens, art and a laid back feel. I literally took a nap on one of the grassy areas with my wife listening to 2 french children playing acoustic guitar and singing.
I missed getting here last time I was in Paris, so the first place I begged to go on our recent Tour of France was Luxembourg Gardens. It did not disappoint. It was beautifully maintained, the Palace was an amazing backdrop (just wish you could get in and take a tour.) Their is an Glacee (Ice Cream) shop in the gardens that is a fun way to sit down and enjoy the park, but beware, if you don't pay the sit down prices and just buy it through the window, you may not sit on the tables by the ice cream shop. (I thought that quite ridiculous, but it was a reminder that I was in France and to be respectful of their etiquette.) As I entered in, it was interesting to.have so many armed guards at the gates to protect the Palace. You also have to stay a safe distance away from the fence. On my right, I was walking along the side of the Palace and on my left there is a beautiful walk way and the most gorgeous statue pond combo. The gardens are in the shape of a semi circle around the back of the Palace. There are statues every few feet, and flowers a plenty. Nice way to relax. Loved it.
This place is always on our list to visit when we’re in Paris !!! Grab some lunch and take a picnic on the grass or sit on one of the many chairs. It’s a great place to people watch :)
Very pleasant French garden at Cartier Latin in Paris. One of the best places to relax in the middle of Paris and let kids play and enjoy the little lake (especially on a sunny afternoon loo. One can also admire the exterior of the Luxembourg Palace that nowadays accommodates the French Senate.
How beautiful a garden can be? I thought such lovely thing exist only in movies or imagination. I loved the way you can see suddenly in a crowded city such a wide surrounding with the perfectly formed flowers and plants collection. The fountains and lakes complete the seen with romantic influence.
