The Bibliotheque nationale de France is the National Library of France, placed in Paris. It is proposed to be the storehouse of all that is distributed in France. The present president of the library is Bruno Racine. The library's accumulations swelled to an excess of 300,000 volumes throughout the radical stage of the French Revolution when the private libraries of privileged people and the church premises were seized. After the station of the French First Republic in September 1792, the Assembly proclaimed the Bibliotheque du Roi to be a national property and the organization was renamed the Bibliotheque Nationale. Four centuries later of control by the Crown, this incredible library has now turned into the property of the French individuals. The National Library of France is an open stronghold under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture. Its mission is to constitute accumulations, particularly the duplicates of works distributed in France.
