Inaugurated in 1837, Gare Saint-Lazare today boasts to be the second busiest railway station in Paris. Officially known as Paris-Saint-Lazare, it is one of the six large terminus railway stations of Paris. Constructed in between 1842 and 1853, the station opened a shopping arcade for the public in 2012. Serving the western suburbs of Normandy and Paris, the atmosphere of gare Saint-Lazare is very lively and bustling. The railway station has been represented in many artworks.
