Beautiful "traditional" Parisian bistrot that looks as if it has not changed since the fifties. The food is always delicious! Great quality/price ratio and very welcoming staff.
Excellent staff. Very good food for the price. Especially in the chic area it is located in. Cozy vintage setting. I hoped for bigger portions but it is France. Portions are by default on the stingy side.
Apparently they don't need to care about quality or service since being in a Woody Allen movie. They were out of several main dishes and we all settled on chicken. Waited 30 minutes for our entrees only to be told they were out of the chicken despite watching several people who ordered after us get chicken. The waitress didn't even pretend to care. The entrees we finally got were nothing special. The food at my grandma's nursing home is better. The men's room is literally a disgusting hole in the ground. To paraphrase Anthony Bourdain, "If they aren't keeping the bathroom clean, they're not keeping the kitchen clean." Don't waste your time and money here. There are many much better and cheaper restaurants with ambiance in Paris. I'm amazed at all the "local guides" giving it a 5 star review. Smells of paid reviews to me.
The most delicious meal for the lowest price conceivable in a real, traditional restaurant in the heart of Paris. The bread, the dishes the wine, the choice in desserts, everything is absolutely great.
If you would like watch midnight in Paris and shout out to your anglo-saxon friends, "I've eaten there!" then this is the place for you. However, if you enjoy good food don't waste your money coming here. Yes, they serve the French classics but so does a Sodexo canteen and this was on a par. This was very ordinary food dished up like at a canteen - visually unappealing and bland. The cheese plate was three chunks of the same goat cheese and a piece of camembert. The service was also poor and unfriendly. Only saving note was the bread which was surprisingly good. Would not recommend at all. Cannot understand the 'local guides' giving it five stars.
