Opened in 1938, Stade Sébastien Charléty is a popular sports venue located in the 13th arrondissement of the French capital. This multi-use stadium was designed by the architect Bernard Zehrfuss and has a capacity of about 20,000 visitors. Significant events, both national and international, and sports and non-sports are hosted here throughout the year. Some popular events organized here include 2002 IAAF Grand Prix Final, Paris University Games 1957, and 2003 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival. The stadium is also home to an indoor sports arena named Salle Pierre Charpy which also hosts many events.
