Having hosted artists during the Symbolist movement, Théâtre de l'Oeuvre is a historical theater that dates back to 1893. Directed by the French actor, Aurelian-Marie Lugne until 1929, the theater has transformed into a vibrant entertainment venue in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. The theater was temporarily closed between 1899 and 1912 after which it was revived with works of numerous surrealist and dadaist writers of that time. Since its inception, the theater has changed hands several times but continues to remain a much-appreciated venue in Paris.
