Eberle Winery, Paso Robles Reviews - Write a Review
Sadly, we just walked out of the Eberle tasting room disgruntled for the second time and committed to the fact that we will not be returning. The first time was 3 years ago, when we quit our long time club membership because no one at the tasting bar could take the time to pour us wine. Because we do enjoy their wine, after several years we gave it another shot, and had the same experience. We were standing at the bar with an empty glass in front of us, could not get anyone interested in pouring any wine for us, even after making eye contact. And we were ready to buy some wine! To make matters worse, we spoke with the owner, Gary Eberle, who was sitting outside when we left, and we shared our experience. Instead of marching us right back in and insisting that his staff pour us wine, he began making excuses by explaining that they are the 4th busiest tasting room in the area and that unfortunately it is difficult to get up to the bar at times. I explained to him that we were at the bar, and we actually moved to yet another spot AT THE BAR to see if we could get someone to pour, with no success. Didn't really seem to matter to him. So, we went down the road, to THE busiest tasting room, where we always get acknowledged when walking in and always have wine poured for us, immediately. And we bought our wine from the place we enjoy most, Tobin James! Bye bye Eberle. You are quite obviously not interested in our patronage.
Great wines, solid service. Definitely take the tour! Would recommend if you’re in the area.
Very friendly staff. Dog friendly and the free cellar tour was very interesting! Don't miss it! Sadly they only serve lunch on weekends so we had to find another place to eat. Nice view and quiet setting. Id like to return to give tasting a try!!
I'm going to keep it simple... Two weeks ago, our party of five visited Eberle and, upon entering their facility, were treated poorly by one of the staff. We immediately left and spent our dollars elsewhere.
We have visited here several times & are members of their wine club. Wonderful wines & superb staff. They are definitely dog friendly (resident poodle on duty). They also have a very nice shaded deck overlooking the vineyards where you can bring your own food & enjoy a nice picnic (with Eberle wine - of course)!
