Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge is a massive forested sanctuary located in Paterson. It is situated on the banks of the river Colombia, and the McCormach Slough passes through it. These water bodies provide fishing opportunities and a boost to the ecosystem in the surrounding area. A varied terrain can be seen here that includes; cliffs, rimrock and rock outcroppings, deep water, riparian and wetlands and islands. Badgers, Mule Deer and Burrowing Owls can be found in abundance here. The famous bald eagle can also be spotted on occasions here. You have to be patient when you’re here for birdwatching, as the birds here are very sensitive to sound and external disturbance.

Amazing view over the Washington Oregon states. Great fishing spots
Beautiful, quiet and peaceful. My fiance came here to take maternity photos, they turned out beautiful. We saw alot of turtles, and if you have children it would be a nice place to stop if your passing through.
If passing through this area it's a great spot to take a little break enjoy the wildlife and splash around in the water if you have a kayak or canoe this water is generally perfect in the summer.
