Built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the 18th century, Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib Ji Patna is a Gurdwara - a place of worship for the Sikh community. The place was built in honor of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs. This whitewashed temple has undergone reconstruction a couple of times but yet continues to exude its old warmth. Built in the Sikh style of architecture, the temple makes for a spectacular sight to behold. The best time to see the structure is during a night when it is illuminated with beautiful lights. The Gurdwara is very spacious and is usually crowded with devotees. Visit this splendid temple in Patna to witness the rich heritage of India.
