I love the new updates they have made! It is a very relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Only 4 stars because I feel 25 cents a copy is too much. But overall a great place.
I found the library to be friendly and accommodating! My children and I have requested multiple books and the librarians quickly ordered them and let me know when the new books were in. They have a summer reading program for kids and activities throughout the year. It's a nice little library!
This Library is not quiet at all, the few times i been there the ladies were eating in the office, kids just crying and screaming, just overall very disturbing to everyone inside the library.. The dark headed lady with glasses who is short with short haircut just laughed and carried on with them. It was upsetting, a library is known for being quiet and being able to research in peace, not this library by no means. The computers are near these ladies office and u cannot search the internet because of hearing these women carry on loudly in their office about wht there lunch consisted of. I could not think because they were so dang loud, this time it was the staff who was loud and laughing. It embarrassed me, and i was very quiet... It was soo bad I soo wanted to ask can yall keep it down, but i decided not too. Hoping theyd realize how childish they were being. So advice to all of you- Take earphones in his (library)-
This library is one of the only libraries left that still has card catalog, old computers, junky internet, old books, and use to have a mean lady who worked there but not now. I've lived in PV for 22 years and I quit going to this one about 5 years ago when I discovered that you could pay a 60 dollar non residents fee at the pioneer library system in purcell or norman and have an online account to recheck books, put books on hold, and see thousands of books online that you can download. Go pioneer people it's well worth the drive to purcell and the 60 dollars a year. We love it. Oh and you can check out 60 books at a time!! Compared to the 10 at PV library.
What a crock! What kind of public library is this? If you don't live in Garvin county but you live a few miles outside the line you can't get a library card or check out ebooks online? Ridiculous! !!
