Paw Paw Prairie Fen Preserve Reviews & Ratings
I treasure wilderness victories like this, where if it wasn't for the fight of many, there would have been a new housing development. This piece of property is so special! We saw a box turtle, tons of butterflies, dragonflies, and birds. Little shade : bring your sunhat!
Drove by here a few times and decided to finally come out and hike around. Glad I did! I was expecting to be unimpressed but was taken in by the serenity of this location. Found a nice little wooded area to hang my hammock and relax with a book for a couple of hours. Saw a few hognose snakes basking on the trails so keep an eye out as I almost stepped on one.
Nice place for a short walk. This isn’t a very big trail but its pretty well maintained and offers great views of the fields and forests. There is a small pond in the middle that is home to some geese and aquatic life. Recommend if you need to waste some time or just want some fresh air.
Very plesant place for a walk hike. Quiet minus the wildlife. You could come here ten times and see something new every time.
Not bad for a short hike, no dogs allowed or I'd have given 5 stars.
