Pawnee (Pawnee: Paári ) is a city and county seat of Pawnee County, Oklahoma, United States. It was named for the Pawnee tribe, which was relocated to this area between 1873 and 1875. The population was 2,190 at the 2010 census, a decline of 1.5 percent from 2,230 at the 2000 census.
