Mirtiotissa Beach - Review

Mirtiotissa Beach is described by a lot of regular visitors and beach lovers as the best beach to be in the whole of Europe. The beautiful sheer cliffs are completely covered with trees. The shrubs here drop directly into the sand which creates a sense of wonderful isolation. You will find curl rocky promontories offering marvelous snorkeling in both ends of the beaches. Mirtiotissa is also unofficially known as the Island’s nudist beach. It is a lovely place to be at just to spend a quiet day with your friends and you should definitely put it in your itinerary while at Greece.

  • After spending 9 days on Corfu this was the best beach we visited! This is a naturist beach but wearing something is not prohibited too. There is a bar on the beach serving sandwiches, cold drinks and fruit salads. Service was super nice! It is quiet, there is no music nor any other noise. There are two restaurants nearby and plenty of parking places down the road. There is a shower, but it has limited amount of water and if you leave the beach late then there might not be enough for you. I heard that the beach gets smaller every year so take your chance to visit it, as it is unique, until there is a chance!

  • Very clean water and great views. Although the beach has become smaller but the crowd is peaceful. Families too join in . Great to experience naturalism

  • Pros: A very nice beach for those who love naturism. The access into the water is smooth and the sand is fine. From the beach bar you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas with a reasonable price. Cons: Very difficult access with any vehicle and as an pedestrian you will need strong health to walk to this beach especially in hot days. If you want to be on the safe side, you will need to carry with you large quantity of water because the beach bar has very limited water stocks. Due to the above, another weak point of this beach is the lack of first aid point.

  • Beautiful beach with a nice view and clear ocean. The beach is small and not much place to sit. Best place to park with car is at the tavern. The road is the last 100 meters sleeply down.

  • Don't go here when the tide is in like we did otherwise there is no beach to see! The road down is very steep and not for nervous types.. The usual mainly German nudists here.
