A worth visit during late August- early November, the weather is beautiful and makes it even more worth the visit. The Sahyadris outline you’re view wherever you see and make the views complete. It’s a place of great historical significance and also a place where you can see a lot of local culture and when you truly know he place its a place of utter beauty. The fort is built with such good thought and has a story that’s really interesting. A definite Worth visit place.
It's awesome fort build by छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज. You should visit it once. You will fall in love. Ani ho महाराजांना मानाचा मुजरा
Lovely view from the fort and worth the drive from Mahabaleshwar or Panchgani which is quite long. The access roads are not well maintained unfortunately. The fort is big and it will take a while to see it all. Registered guided are available at the foot of the fort. Can spend a long time here. Couple of restaurants at the entrance.
Good place to visit if you are interested in the history and like to be Amidst the nature. View is amazing with lush green during the monsoon. The journey from mahabaleshwar to the fort itself is filled with picturesque hills. It's better to hire a guide during the tour through the fort.
Another similar fort of Maharashtra. Best to be visited in rains during monsoon. An ascent of about 200 stairs. The view from above the fort is great. Inside the fort there are a lot of tea and snacks stalls along with the ones from where you can buy souvenirs and gifts. Bhavani Temple is a must visit inside the fort. There is also a Hast Kala Kendra(a shop of handicrafts) from where various kinds of hand crafted material can be brought.
