Sunset Winery - Review
Wine with cheese never gets old; nor does traipsing around a pretty wine-countryside trying to find the area’s best vintage. Visit the Sunset Winery’s cellar door and try out their 6 different wines. Food-wise you’ve got the options for a ‘Savoury Platter, or a ‘Dukkah’, which is Fleurieu, served with our local Wild olive oil and delicious local bread. At the winery you can also buy locally grown goods – relishes, sauces, soaps, candle and syrup. You can also buy examples of local art.
Trivia: Sunset Winery is the first winery in Johnson County since prohibition.

Sunset Winery, Penneshaw Reviews
We shared the stress free menu with fish. The good was delicious every dish exquisitely presented by friendly helpful ladies. Flavours of our 4 courses complimented each other and the French wine chosen by staff perfect Highly recommend for a special occasion
This is a one hat restaurant and certainty deserves the rating. Excellent fine dining, we enjoyed this lunch the best after two weeks on the island. The setting has a great view. We had the whiting followed by the stout cake. Both excellent. Well worth a visit. Best to book and ask to sit on deck for scenic view of Nepean Bay.
The best restaurant on the island by far. We had lunch then came back a few days later for the degustation dinner. It was all superb and not expensive by the standards of food.
Fantastic dining with a great selection of wine, albeit in small portions but absolutely fabulous flavours. Great outdoor view, staffs were friendly too.
Booked into the Friday night degustation after confirming that the menu could be done vegan for us. The food was delicious and very well presented. The view was amazing and the staff were very friendly. It was expensive but worth it for a special meal at a beautiful location.
