Spice Walk, Thekkady Reviews

Google+
  • I would recommend anyone visiting Kumily and Thekkady should visit this almost 65 years old Abraham's Spice Garden. You could see, feel and take in the aroma of the spices. They take you around the garden explaining each plant, tree, flower, fruit, nuts. You could buy fresh spices from their shop. Mr Abraham is a kind and patient person. He credits his grandfather who started the garden in early 1950s.

  • Impressive gardens and great hospitality. Showed up spontaneously and still got a great guided tour by Abraham himself. We tried many fresh fruits and spices on the way through the gardens, all for free. They have a nice little spice shop, too, to support the gardens. Overall a very informative and entertaining visit. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

  • Excellent place to understand spices and their cultivation. Mr. Abraham personally accompany with you to explain spices during tour of the garden. He has featured in BBC program. Also it's a good place to shop variety of genuine spices, honey etc at reasonable rate.

  • Wonderful and magical garden full of flowers, fruits and spices some of which we had never seen before. Great guided tour too. Good range of things to buy in the shop too.

  • Good place for a plantation visit. Has got a variety of herbs and other plants..a knowledge full place. The management is customer friendly.
