Perris Tourism

Situated in Riverside County, California, Perris is an old railroad city. Located 81 miles north of San Diego and 71 miles east-southeast of Los Angeles, the city is known for its artificial lake, Perris Lake. Initially established in 1885, the city features a total population of 78,700 (as of the 2020 census). According to the US Census Bureau, Perris covers a total land area of 31.68 square miles and experiences a Mediterranean climate characterized by long and hot summers and mild and short winters. The economy of Perris dramatically depends on the retail and education industries since they employ most of its residents. Regarding transportation and infrastructure, Perris is well-connected through all modes of transport. The city uses the Perris Valley Airport for air travel, the Perris-Downtown Station and the Perris-South Station for rail travel, and Interstate 215 and State Route 74 for road travel. Also, the Southern California Railway Museum is one of the notable points of interest within the city.
