The staff are all friendly and the food is great. There's both bar and table seating, and the ambiance is very mellow and cozy. The best place to come to if you have a sweet tooth because their dessert menu is amazing. Slightly pricy, but worth it if you want to treat yourself every once in a while. Would definitely recommend.
We ordered the fondue and it was excellent!!! Chocolate chip cookie also very good!!! Atmosphere definitely worth it! The chocolate shot for kids is an awesome presentation but my daughter found the chocolate too rich.
The food here is amazing! However the service leaves much to be desired. We were a party of 9 and we'd reserved a table, so the restaurant staff must have been aware of the size of our party. During the course of a 2 hour lunch, three different members of the wait staff spilled things on three of us, including me. One friends had his chocolate drink spilled on him by a junior member of the wait staff who apologized profusely and was very kind about the whole thing. Another member of the wait staff who we discovered is a manager, spilled half my hot chocolate on me. Essentially there was more hot chocolate on my dress, shoes and phone than there was in my tummy. The staff member didn't even realize what had happened and just walked away. She did return later and apologize and offered to take care of the dry cleaning bill. Not too long after, when a burger (which we had sent back for being done rare when we'd asked for medium) was being served, a whole side of fries was dropped. The staff member "jokingly" commented that at least my friend had fries on her plate now. Not only was the whole incident handled in poor taste by the staff member, but she also told my friend off for being rude. My friend was understandably upset but not once did he raise his voice, or lose his calm or use inappropriate language. He was polite and civil, if visibly irate. This third staff member was also a manager and we were compensated for the worst service by the restaurant taking care of the bill. I'd much rather pay for food that I eat rather than have it spilled all over me though. Too bad the food here is brilliant.
Max Brenner is definitely Dessert Heaven! Desserts here are absolutely decadent and delicious. In my opinion, the food is hit or miss, especially for vegetarian options. It's definitely a cozy place but can get to be pretty loud (especially with the groups of tweens and teens). It's best to have a reservation as the place can get packed and isn't too huge.
Food is so good here. Service was pretty good as well. Obviously you need to get dessert while you're here.
