Point Arena-stornetta Public Lands Reviews & Ratings
LOVED IT! Super cute experience. If you love movies, it is a great stop. "Need For Speed" is the movies that brought us here. The shop next to the lighthouse has a lot of cute things to buy. The parking lot is super big. Their restrooms were clean. It is windy and it was chilly the day we visited. Wear closed toe shoes when you visit so that you may not get grable/pebbles in your feet. Definitely a great stop and the view is incredible. There may be a small charge to go in, so be ready to pay at the main entrance gate. They have different activities and talks from experts, so call ahead if you love to listen to their talks about nature and the surrounding areas, you may need to save a spot. 😍😘
The museum has a good history of the lighthouse with many original photos. It was remodeled about 12 years old and looks great. We climbed all 116 steps to the very top of the lighthouse. What a fabulous view of the ocean land and mountains! It cost $8 per person. The Point Arena grounds are accessible from Highway 1 along 2 mile one lane access road.
Absolutely gorgeous! Use caution when bringing small kids. The cliffs can be unstable and dangerous. But it is well worth the visit!
Stayed in one of the Cottages. Nice having a 3 bed 2 bath house with full kitchen right on the coast. Beautiful area with Lighthouse tour, museum and hiking lands.
California does a good job for State parks. Don't miss climbing the lighthouse. The view of the Coast is spectacular. A must to visit. Worth the drive.
