Desert Ridge Marketplace Tours
About Desert Ridge Marketplace, Phoenix
Desert Ridge Marketplace is a super-regional shopping mall located just off the Loop 101 and Tatum Boulevard in North Phoenix, Arizona. It was built by Vestar Development Co. and opened in December 2001. The mall has a gross leasable area of 1.2 million square feet (111,000 m²). The mall was targeted at upscale residents of the north East Valley, and of Scottsdale, a five-minute drive from the mall via the freeway. The CityNorth development will adjoin and connect to the Desert Ridge development, but will offer a much more upscale collection of stores than what is currently offered at Desert Ridge to cater to the affluent population of northern Phoenix and Scottsdale.Wikipedia

I enjoyed all the stores, close to Target, felt comfortable walking around and very nice signs, decor, place for kids to play. Even a bookstore. But no Spencer's and it's hot even in October. If that doesn't bother you, this is your place.
I love this outdoor mall! I would've given 5 stars but navigating through the parking lot is challenging & ultimately frustrating. I can't leave there without a few "f" this! But once I get to the on ramp of the freeway to get home, its forgotten. I always go back to this mall because of the variety of stores & restaurants. Its bright, clean and has music playing while walking around. The Target there is so clean & the products are put neatly on the shelves. It looks like I walked into a grand opening where no one has touched anything. The most attractive one I've been to. Impressive because its that way every time I go there. Its easy to get to via the freeways. If you don't like driving freeways you can get there going up Tatum. Its worth the trip to check it out.
This is buzzing mall with good shopping places and lots of dining options. This is always busy with trendy crowd around. Fountains for kids to play in summer time. Have enough stuff to attract all age groups.
So excited to see the finished product. We have been valley residents for over 15 years and have seen this mall at its best and worst. Maybe has new management because “The District” looks amazing! New night lighting, artificial turf, and a cleaner atmosphere, this place now has serious potential.
Absolutely beautiful area to shop and get delicious food! Security is constantly patrolling in vehicles. I watched them pass the building I was in three times within an hour. It's a safe place to be as well.
