This house was built in 1894 and still stands strong on its original foundation. It was originally owned and named after Dr. Roland Lee Rosson and his wife Flora Murray Rosson. It changed many hands before it was finally purchased by the City of Phoenix and it now serves and beautiful history museum.

The house is built in a very rare Stick Eastlake- Quick Anne Style of Victorian Era and thus serves as one of the very few last remaining buildings of this kind. The mansion also features a blend of other cultures in the form of Asian moon gate, Italianate hooded windows and a French octagonal turret. Apart from being a history museum, the large lawn area also serves as a public Science Park.

  • The Rosson House at Heritage Square is a charming venue for your wedding and all occasions. It has a historic value that everyone can appreciate. You can plan your dream wedding directly in front of the Rosson House for the making of an enchanting ceremony and memorable experience. Directly next door is the Lath House Pavilion, perfect for receptions, intimate and extravagant. There are also dressing rooms available for the bride/bridesmaids and groom/groomsmen. Heritage Square is centrally located, and there is a parking structure for your guest convenience. This is a wonderful venue with much character that will be remembered and dazzle your guest.

  • Cool tour through the house. Some people may not know this, but this house was built by the Rosson family but they never actually lived in it. They rented out and eventually sold it to another family. Check it out worth a look.

  • Knowledgeable tour guide very clean Furnishings were suited to period. Just wish they would have had a book or a pamphlet to show the inside of the house because they discourage taking pictures. Would have been willing to even buy such pamphlet

  • Really enjoyed seeing one of the few old houses left in the valley.

  • We have had a few of the tour guides and they know much about the history of the house and families that lived there. Very good tour.
